Summer Vibes: 9 Sunglasses You Need to See
Sunglasses are the ultimate summer accessory, when the sun beats down they become an almost mandatory addition to any outfit. My latest post will focus on some of the coolest styles available this season.
Despite all the various choices of sunglasses available, time and again I always revert back to my classic Ray-Ban Aviators. I find their timeless design perfectly suited to my personal style and I rarely look at other options. But this year I have decided to expand my horizons and look beyond my aviator collection for the perfect summer eyewear.
Dior Tag SU Black Rectangular Sunglasses
I've always been a massive fan of Dior, particularly those beautiful handbags! But for the moment, I opted for the much more affordable sunglasses from their latest collection. Distinctly urban with black acetate frames and crystal-tone metal temples, yet still maintains that luxury aesthetic. As to be expected from this premium brand, the sunglasses are manufactured to a very high standard and will certainly withstand heavy use. Special mention must also go to those blue lenses, adds such a nice pop of color to the overall look.
Aviator Sunglasses by Massimo Dutti
Massimo Dutti has been creating quality fashion pieces for years, so it comes as no surprise that their sunglasses are no exception. Classic aviator shape with tortoiseshell-effect frames, delivers a very polished and versatile look, not too flashy and quite sophisticated compared to many other pairs on the market. These sunglasses would be an ideal candidate for everyday summer wear.
Statement SciFi by Blenders Eyewear
Now these are something completely different! Blenders has created this bold single-lens style that definitely makes a statement. The flat-top design is quite futuristic and certainly not for everyone, but if you want to stand out from the crowd these are perfect. The polarized lenses are a nice touch and the build quality seems solid enough for regular use.
Scuderia Ferrari Collection by Ray-Ban
Ray-Ban teamed up with Ferrari for this collaboration and the results are impressive. Polished silver frames with those mirror blue/red lenses create such a striking combination. You can definitely feel the racing inspiration in the design, very sleek and performance-oriented. These would look fantastic with a sporty summer outfit.
Armani Men's Asian-Fit Square Sunglasses
Giorgio Armani continues to impress with their attention to comfort and style. These blue square frames are made from bio-based materials which shows their commitment to sustainability. The Asian-fit design means they actually sit properly on different face shapes, which is often overlooked by other brands. Very comfortable for extended wear and the blue color is quite unique.
Victory C 07 & C 09 Oversized Italian Mask Statement Sunglasses by Carrera
Carrera has always been known for bold designs and these shield-style sunglasses are no exception. Made in Italy as you'd expect, with that signature 'C' logo prominently displayed. They're definitely oversized and have a very futuristic vibe - you'll either love them or hate them. I happen to think they're brilliant for making a statement.
Venice Polarized Sunglasses by Kaenon
Hand-crafted in Japan, these Pacific Blue frames represent excellent value for money. Kaenon designed them specifically for larger faces which is thoughtful. The classic styling means they'll work with most outfits and the build quality is impressive for the price point. Perfect for beach days or casual summer activities.
Tom Ford Guillaume Aviator Sunglasses
Tom Ford puts their own spin on the classic aviator with these black frames. The gradient lenses are beautifully executed and that signature 'T' detail on the temples is subtle but recognizable. Made in Italy with typical Tom Ford attention to detail - even the case is luxurious. Definitely worth the investment if you appreciate quality craftsmanship.
Ray-Ban Classic Aviator Sunglasses
Finally let us take a look at the original classics, the Ray-Ban Aviators. Originally designed for pilots in 1937, these gold frame and blue lens versions remain as popular as ever. I believe I will always have a soft spot for these timeless pieces, even so, this year has seen me branch out and explore new territory.
